On June 29 local time, Huaxin’s first overseas mortar plant was officially commenced production. With an annual capacity of 100,000 tons, primarily manufacturing products under Huaxin’s mortar brand Newta. This milestone marks a significant achievement in overseas diversified development strategy of Huaxin.

Huaxin CEO Li Yeqing, Vice Presidents Xu Gang, Wang Jiajun, and Tang Jun, attended the inauguration ceremony, as well as management from Maweni Limestone Limited, representatives of Chinese and Tanzanian employees, and the overseas new materials support team.

In his speech, Li Yeqing expressed gratitude to the governments of China and Tanzania for their support in Huaxin’s business. He emphasized that leveraging the company’s strong whole-industry-chain advantages, Huaxin has successfully extended its mature business model overseas, accelerating its transformation into a global integrated building materials service provider. Huaxin will adhere to the highest standards to ensure the superior quality of Newta products, continuously expand the product offerings, and strive to establish it as a leading building materials brand in the African market, so as to injecting new momentum into infrastructure upgrades in Tanzania and across Africa.

The Tanzania mortar project was initiated in September 2024. Overcoming challenges, the construction team achieved the entire process—from design to operational production— in less than 10 months, fully demonstrating "Huaxin Speed." The project utilizes mature, high-efficiency mortar production equipment from China, locally abundant calcite resources, and domestically produced high-performance additives. Combined with advanced Chinese technology, the plant is capable of supplying high-quality new specialty mortar materials such as putty powder and tile adhesive to the local market, setting a benchmark for green, low-carbon, and high-quality building materials development in the region.

As a pioneer in the global expansion of China’s building materials industry, Huaxin now operates in 18 overseas countries, with over 40 building materials plants across 13 nations, and continues to actively seek new growth opportunities.
