At 8:08 local time on June 2nd, the 2000TPD clinker production line project of Huaxin Malawi Portland Company in Africa reached a major milestone – the preheater was successfully erected, and the hoisting of the kiln cylinder was launched simultaneously, laying a solid foundation for the project's completion and commissioning in October this year.

The project started in October 2024. Facing challenges such as difficult material transportation, limited local resources, heavy coordination tasks, and multiple processes advancing simultaneously, the management of Malawi Portland Company led the Chinese and local teams to adopt scientific management, precise measures, and efficient promotion. They successfully completed the key milestone of preheater capping in just over seven months with high quality. To effectively address the power shortage bottleneck in Malawi, the project also built a 12-megawatt thermal power station in parallel. Once this facility is operational, it will ensure the stable operation of the production line.

As a key project of overseas strategic layout of Huaxin, the successful completion of the preheater erection and the hoisting of the kiln of the new production line has injected strong confidence into the project team to achieve the target of commissioning in October. After the project come into stream, the annual cement production capacity of Malawi Portland Company will be increased to 800,000 tons, which will significantly enhance Huaxin's overall competitiveness and influence in the African market.
