On March 17, Huaxin completed the acquisition of 100% equity in EMBU SA Engenharia e Comercio(“Embu”), a leading aggregates company in Sao Paulo, Brazil, for a transaction value of USD 176.9 million. This milestone marks the first entry of a major Chinese building materials enterprise into the Brazilian market and signifies a solid step forward in Huaxin’s strategy of "Diversified Overseas Business Development."

Embu is a top supplier of construction aggregates in Sao Paulo with a successful history of 60 years, operating four modern plants with a total annual production capacity of 8.8 million tons. With its advantageous geographic locations, well-established sales network, and advanced production technology, Embu has consistently led the local market. The completion of this acquisition will provide Huaxin with a strategic foothold in Brazil’s core economic region of Sao Paulo and lay a solid foundation for extending its industrial chain.

On March 18, a meeting with employee representatives of Embu was held at Embu quarry. At the event, Mr. Mei Xiangfu, Vice President of Huaxin, introduced Huaxin’s organization structure, corporate culture, development strategy, and future plans in Brazil. He recognized the achievements of Embu and the high standard of the company’s management and emphasized that Huaxin will leverage its strengths to support the Embu team to bring the company to the next level of development and ensure its continued leadership in the market.

The meeting was attended by Huaxin’s Vice President Mr. Chen Qian, Special Assistant to the President Mr. Daniel Bach, Huaxin Country Manager for Brazil Mr. Xiang Changhong, and the Project Team. From Embu, CEO Mr. Moacir Borges, along the members of the management team and employee representatives, participated. Both sides expressed their confidence and high expectations for the future collaboration and held in-depth discussions on the integration of Embu into Huaxin and the development of the company.

As a pioneer in the Chinese building materials industry’s international expansion, Huaxin has, over the past decade, built or acquired more than 20 cement plants and related businesses across Central Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Arabian Gulf, and Africa, achieving both social and economic success. With the addition of Embu in Brazil, Huaxin’s overseas footprint now spans 13 countries, forming a diversified business portfolio covering cement, concrete, aggregates, and environmental services. This acquisition accelerates Huaxin’s progress towards becoming a "globally leading multinational building materials group."
