On February 18th, Huaxin has commenced the operation of its first cement plant outside of China in 2025 – a grinding station with annual capacity 300,000-ton cement in Zimbabwe.
Located near Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, the project has been launched in September 2024. As the company's cement operation in the 12th country outside of China and 6th in Africa, the project will enhance the overall level of the local cement industry through introducing advanced production technology and equipment, and providing high-quality products and services. It will reduce Zimbabwe's reliance on cement imports while creating employment opportunities and significant tax revenues, contributing positively to the local economic and social development.
The successful operation of the plant is a vivid example of the implementation of the international development strategy of Huaxin which will continue to speed up the projects in-the-pipeline and establish more presence overseas as part of efforts to become a global leading multi-national building materials group.
