On May 29th, Nepalese Prime Minister Prachanda met with Huaxin CEO Li Yeqing in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. He fully affirmed Huaxin's promotion of local economic and social development and welcomed Huaxin's continued expansion of investment in Nepal, as well as deep cooperation with the local government in areas such as efficient resource utilization and ecological environment protection.

Li Yeqing first sincerely appreciated the Nepalese government for providing strong support for Huaxin's investment and development in Nepal, especially Prime Minister Mr. Prachanda's recent promotion of significant progress in the preliminary work of Huaxin Nepal's biomass utilization and other projects. He also introduced the investment and cooperation of Huaxin in Nepal, as well as the production and operation of the cement plant, and put forward suggestions for further promoting the efficient utilization of local resources, ecological environment protection and upgrading. He expressed that Huaxin is willing to make greater contributions to promoting the economic and social development of Nepal and promoting friendly cooperation and win-win cooperation between China and Nepal.

Mr. Prachanda highly praised Huaxin's successful investment in Nepal. He said that Huaxin has a long history and strong strength. Since investing in Nepal, it has not only brought advanced cement technology and equipment, promoted the upgrading of the cement industry, but also paid significant taxes to the government, created nearly 500 job opportunities for local community, and stimulated the development of upstream and downstream related industries, effectively promoting the rapid development of the local economy and society. He expressed that the government is willing to engage in deep cooperation with Huaxin in the efficient utilization of local resources, ecological environment protection, and other aspects, and welcomes Huaxin to continue expanding the investment in Nepal and sharing new opportunities brought by development.

During his stay in Nepal, CEO Li Yeqing also visited Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Mr. Chen Song and Economic Counselor Mr. Xie Yu, expressing gratitude for the guidance and support provided by the Embassy and the Counsellor’s Office for Huaxin's investment and development in Nepal. Chen Song praised Huaxin's exemplary role in jointly building the Belt and Road and promoting China -nNepal friendship, and exchanged views with Li Yeqing on strengthening cooperation between Huaxin and Nepal.
