On May 16th, the Building Materials Industry Carbon Peak Pilot Enterprise - Chongqing Huaxin Dewei Cement Co., Ltd. Alternative Fuel Benchmark Project Experience Exchange Meeting was held in Chongqing, southwest of China. The meeting was hosted by the China Building Materials Federation and organized by Huaxin, focusing on the theme of " Sharing and Exchange Large Proportion Alternative Fuel Technology of Cement Kiln, Jointly Planning for the Industry's Green and Low-Carbon Development" for in-depth discussion and research.

In August 2022, Dewei Company was listed by the China Building Materials Federation as a "Building Materials Industry Carbon Peak Pilot Enterprise," started to undertake the research, development, application, and verification of alternative fuel technology. After more than one year of efforts, Huaxin successfully designed and developed a complete set of equipment technology and processes for the storage, pre-treatment, and feeding of alternative fuels. It has made a breakthrough in the field of large proportion alternative fuel technology for cement kiln, achieving continuous, stable, and large-scale application of alternative fuels, with a stable fuel substitution rate of over 60%, and the overall energy consumption of cement clinker is less than 50 kilograms of standard coal per ton.

The Building Materials Industry Carbon Emission Huaxin project passed the experts’ acceptance organized by the China Building Materials Federation. Huaxin's large proportion fuel substitution technology has reached a domestic leading and internationally advanced level. It provides an important technical path for the energy-saving and carbon reduction technology transformation and upgrading of existing cement clinker production lines in China and promotes the transformation of the industry's energy structure.

Huaxin's CEO Li Yeqing pointed out that the practice of Dewei Company fully proves that the larger the scale, the more advanced the technology is not the case for cement clinker line. By developing and applying advanced and applicable technology, a daily production line of 2,500 tons can also achieve a leading level. Huaxin will continue to view technological innovation as a key, take green and low-carbon as the direction, accelerate the transformation of green, intelligence and internationalization, and strive to create a new quality of productive forces in the cement industry, contributing Huaxin's strength to achieve the goal of green and low-carbon.
