As the sole enterprise representative of China's building materials industry and Hubei Province, Li Yeqing, CEO of Huaxin, was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing.

On October 17, the Belt and Road CEO Conference was held at the China National Convention Center. The conference focused on the theme of "High-quality Belt and Road Development and Prosperity". At the conference, the Belt and Road CEO Conference Beijing Declaration was released, and nearly 300 Chinese and foreign representatives signed hundreds of project agreements. More than 80 countries and regions, including more than 20 foreign ministerial level officials, leaders of more than 30 foreign business associations, and representatives of nearly 60 Fortune Global 500 enterprises, attended the Conference.

Huaxin has signed a Sales and Purchase Agreement with InterCement to acquire 100% equity of Natal Cement Company. This partnership will play a positive role in Huaxin's development in the African market.

During the sideline of the Conference, Li Yeqing took an interview with the press. He stated that as the most modernised cement enterprise in China, Huaxin not only has strong construction and management capabilities, but also helps many countries upgrade their industries. 

The representative of Huaxin's partner praised Huaxin as the most international cement enterprise in China, not only proficient in cement business, but also with strong overseas operational capabilities.

Since the announcement of the Belt and Road Initiative in 2013, Huaxin has officially identified "overseas development" as one of the company's four development strategies. Over the past 10 years, Huaxin has successively owned and operated nearly 20 large-scale cement factories and related industrial chain enterprises in 11 Belt and Road countries spanning from Central Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, West Asia to Africa. Boasting a total cement production capacity of 20 million tons with tremendous social and economic contributions overseas, Huaxin has established a successful example of "going global" in Hubei and even broader China.

In the future, Huaxin will continue to paint a beautiful picture featuring green and high-quality development based on win-win cooperation, and make contributions to local communities and promote friendship among countries.
