Oman Cement Company SAOG (OCC) was originally established in the year 1978 with a single clinker facility. As the demand increases significantly in the region, 2 additional clinker lines have been built subsequently and the clinker capacity has expanded to 3 million tons per annum, which enabled OCC to produce 3.6 million ton cement annually. In March 2023, Huaxin signed SPA (Sell and Purchase Agreement) with Oman Investment Authority, the largest shareholder of OCC to buy equities. By far, Huaxin owns 65% stake of and became the biggest shareholder of OCC.
