In December 2023, Huaxin officially took over Mozambique Cement Company, which owns 5 cement grinding factories located in the capital Maputo region, central Beira region, and northern Nacala region, with an effective annual cement production capacity of approximately 1.85 million tons. Huaxin renovated and upgraded the northern Nacala factory and built a new 3,000-ton-per-day clinker production line. After 15 months of construction, it was successfully ignited on November 29, 2024, local time. After commissioning, high-quality products and services continuously enhance market competitiveness and brand influence, injecting strong momentum into Huaxin's African business expansion.

The central Beira Dondo factory, founded in 1967 with a cement grinding capacity of 750,000 tons, is the largest cement factory in central Mozambique. To meet local demand for high-quality cement and reduce costs, the Dondo factory's 3,000-ton-per-day clinker kiln line project was officially launched at the end of 2024 and is now in full-scale construction. The project is scheduled to be put into operation by the end of 2025, which will further consolidate the company's market competitiveness in Mozambique and expand its influence in Africa.

In November 2024, the 3,000tpd clinker production line of Nacala plant was ignited. It transformed Mozambique’s previous clinker import to export, saving at least USD 60 million of foreign exchange annually. Meanwhile, the project created around 300 direct jobs and 400 indirect jobs.

On July 24, 2026, His Excellency Daniel Francisco Chapo, President of Mozambique visited the Nacala plant. He commended the project as a vivid example of the implementation of Mozambique’s industrialization policy and an important achievement of Mozambique-China economic cooperation.

In September 2026, the ignition and commissioning ceremony was held for the revitalization project of the 2,000tpd kiln line in Matola. This marks the full completion of capacity upgrading, equipment quality improvement and operational efficiency enhancement at the Matola plant, further consolidating the industrial presence in the southeastern Africa region and effectively boosting Huaxin’s core competitiveness and brand influence across the African market.
